    A Journey from Corporate Stability to Entrepreneurial Freedom

    Leaving the corporate world to start a new business is never a decision made lightly. For me, it was driven by a number of compelling reasons, all linked in with my personal and professional aspirations. So, together with colleagues I have known for years through various projects, we founded Ascend Solutions, a company born out of passion, vision, and the desire to make a meaningful impact in the aviation industry. In this blog I’d like to outline why I chose this path and why it’s such an exciting step for myself and my colleagues. 

    Passion for Innovation

    In the corporate world, I often found myself constrained by the slow-moving gears of bureaucracy. Rigid frameworks and lengthy approval processes often stifle innovation. With Ascend Solutions, I am liberated, pursuing innovative ideas without limitations, continuously pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in data science, data engineering, and MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul).

    Autonomy and Control

    The desire for autonomy and control was another significant driver. At Ascend Solutions, I am relishing the freedom to steer the company’s direction and make decisions that align perfectly with our vision.

    I am a firm believer in continuous learning and personal development. Entrepreneurship presents unique challenges and opportunities that catalyse significant personal growth. The journey is akin to troubleshooting a complex system: it’s demanding, requires constant adaptation, and ultimately leads to a deeper understanding and enhanced skills. By leading Ascend Solutions, I encounter new learning experiences daily, pushing me to grow and evolve both personally and professionally.
